In Bed with Victoria

Victoria Spick is a cynical divorced lawyer in Paris struggling to manage her personal life and raise two daughters. While attending a wedding, she reconnects with an old friend named Vincent and a former client named Sam, who used to be a drug dealer. Her life becomes increasingly chaotic when she hires Sam as an au pair and assistant. Simultaneously, she reluctantly agrees to defend Vincent in court after he is accused of attempting to murder his partner, a crime where the only witness is a dog.

This French comedy drama was written and directed by Justine Triet. It is the second film in her directorial career, following Solférino and preceding Sibyl and Anatomy of a Fall. The movie stars Virginie Efira in the title role, alongside Vincent Lacoste, Melvil Poupaud, Laurent Poitrenaux, Laure Calamy, and Alice Daquet.
