My Blind Brother is a comedy about two siblings whose relationship is tested by competition and romance. Robbie is a blind athlete who has become a local hero, admired for his sporting achievements. His brother Bill has long served as his guide during races and has lived in Robbie's shadow, even as he recognizes that Robbie's public charm hides a more difficult side. When Bill meets Rose and begins to hope his luck has changed, he discovers that Robbie has also taken an interest in her, and the rivalry between the brothers comes to a head.
Sophie Goodhart directed and wrote the film, which marked her feature debut. Nick Kroll plays Bill, Adam Scott plays Robbie, and Jenny Slate plays Rose, with Zoe Kazan, Talia Tabin and Heidi Lewandowski among the supporting cast. The production was handled by Safehouse Pictures, Low Spark Films and Think Media Studios.
The film runs 85 minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.1 from around 5,000 votes, while on TMDB it has a 5.9 from 111 votes. A critics' rating of 6.2 from 35 reviews places it close to the audience scores, suggesting a modest but consistent reception across viewers and reviewers alike.
