Into Thin Air

Based on a true story, this drama follows Joan Walker, whose college-aged son disappears during a trip from Canada to Colorado. When law enforcement officials fail to provide the necessary help, Joan and her former husband start their own search. The discovery of the son's van in Maine with stolen license plates leads the parents to fear for his life, prompting them to hire a private investigator to uncover the truth.

The film was directed by Roger Young as his second project, following Lassiter in 1984. It features a screenplay by George Rubino and was produced by Joseph Stern for ITC Entertainment and Major H Productions. The cast is led by Ellen Burstyn in the role of Joan Walker, alongside Robert Prosky, Sam Robards, Nicholas Pryor, John Dennis Johnston, and Patricia Smith.
