Ratsasan

Arun abandons his dream of working in cinema after repeated setbacks and, under pressure from his family, joins the police force. As a newly appointed sub-inspector, he finds himself pursuing a serial killer who targets schoolgirls, and the race is on to stop the killer before more victims are claimed.

Ratsasan was released in October 2018. Ram Kumar wrote and directed the Tamil-language crime thriller, which runs 170 minutes and was produced by G Dilli Babu under the Axess Film Factory banner. Vishnu Vishal plays Sub-Inspector Arun Kumar, with Amala Paul as Vijayalakshmi, Suzane George as ACP Lakshmi, Munishkanth as Doss, Kaali Venkat as Venkat and Radha Ravi as Inspector Rajamanickkam. The film's 22 credited cast members fill out a story that mixes crime investigation with action, adventure and mystery.

Audience response has been strong: on IMDb it holds 8.3 out of 10 from around 59,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7.4 from roughly 206 votes. The much larger IMDb sample and its higher score suggest the film has found a devoted following among viewers who have sought it out.
