Heart Condition

Jack Moony is a Los Angeles police officer whose hostility toward Black people runs deep, and the lawyer Napoleon Stone is the focus of much of it. Stone is successful, well dressed and popular with women, and he is involved with Crystal Gerrity, Moony's former girlfriend. When Moony suffers a heart attack, he receives a donor heart that turns out to belong to Stone, who has died under unclear circumstances. Stone returns as a ghost, visible to Moony, and pushes him toward finding out who was responsible for his death.

The film is a comedy with crime and fantasy elements, written and directed by James D. Parriott and produced by Steve Tisch for New Line Cinema. Bob Hoskins plays Moony, Denzel Washington plays Stone, and Chloe Webb plays Crystal, with Roger E. Mosley, Ja'net DuBois and Alan Rachins among the credited cast of thirty-nine.
