Short description

Upcoming animation from DreamWorks Animation, Shrek 5 follows the adventures of Shrek and Donkey. The duo travels together to the magical city of Further Further Away for a new journey in the urban environment. This family comedy blends fantasy and adventure elements as the main characters reunite.

The film is directed by Walt Dohrn and Conrad Vernon. For Dohrn, this follows his work on Donkey's Christmas Shrektacular, Trolls World Tour, and Trolls Band Together. Vernon previously directed Shrek 2, Monsters vs Aliens, Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, Sausage Party, The Addams Family, The Addams Family 2, and Animals United 2: The Chilldown. The screenplay was written by Michael McCullers, with production handled by Chris Meledandri, Gina Shay, and John Swanson.

The voice cast features Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, and Antonio Banderas, returning to their previous roles. They are joined by Zendaya as Felicia and Marcello Hernández as Fergus. The movie is scheduled for release in the United States on June 30, 2027.
