The Strangler is a horror film about Leo Kroll, a lab technician struggling with low self-esteem due to his overbearing mother. Kroll targets the nurses caring for his mother, killing them in a series of murders. While the police suspect him, he manages to avoid capture for a long time by establishing strong alibis. The situation escalates when Kroll falls in love with a woman who rejects him, leading him to target her as well. He is eventually stopped just as he attempts to kill her.
Directed by Burt Topper and written by Bill S. Ballinger, the movie was produced by David Diamond, Samuel Bischoff, and James Cresson through the Bischoff-Diamond Corporation. The cast features Victor Buono in the leading role of Leo Kroll, alongside Ellen Corby as Mrs. Kroll, David McLean, Diane Sayer, Davey Davison, and Baynes Barron.
