Revolting Rhymes

This animated comedy reimagines traditional fairy tales by blending well-known characters and plots into new, irreverent stories. Narrated by a dandyish wolf, the film introduces unexpected friendships and twists on classic narratives involving characters like Snow White, Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, and Jack. Rather than traditional happy endings, the plot uses humor to subvert original themes and create surprising conclusions.

Produced in the United Kingdom by Triggerfish and Magic Light Pictures, the film was directed by Jakob Schuh and Jan Lachauer. In their respective careers, Schuh previously directed The Gruffalo in 2009, while Lachauer directed Room on the Broom in 2012. The screenplay was written by Schuh, Lachauer, and Quentin Blake. The voice cast includes Dominic West, Gemma Chan, Rose Leslie, Tamsin Greig, Bertie Carvel, and Amelie Forester-Evans.

The film has been received positively by viewers, holding a rating of 7.8/10 on IMDb based on 848 votes and a score of 6.8/10 on TMDB from 62 votes.
