  • Filming took place at Dino De Laurentiis' studio in Rome.
  • Filming took place on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and on the islands described by Homer. Filming of some scenes was also planned on the Greek island of Ithaca, Odysseus's homeland, but these plans were thwarted by an earthquake.
  • The limbs of the mechanical cyclopes (their height exceeded 10 meters) were moved thanks to ropes and blacksmith's bellows. The armor and weapons were borrowed from museums in Rome, Naples, and Athens by the creators of the series.
