Roma

Joaquín Góñez is an older novelist living a solitary life who avoids his own past. When a young journalist named Manuel Cueto enters his life to assist with an autobiography, the interaction disturbs the writer's isolation and awakens dormant emotions. Through these conversations, the story looks back at the decades of the 1950s and 1960s, exploring Góñez's turbulent youth in Buenos Aires, his friendships, the concept of loyalty, and his close relationship with his mother, Roma.

The film was directed by Adolfo Aristarain, following his previous work, Martin (Hache). The cast features José Sacristán, Juan Diego Botto, and Susú Pecoraro. This co-production between Argentina and Spain was produced by Aristarain and José Antonio Félez, with a screenplay by Mario Camus and Kathy Saavedra.
