• The majority of the film was shot in a former psychiatric hospital located in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
• The film was shot from a 134-page screenplay in 39 days. Filming began on October 2, 2017.
• The theme of comics first appeared in M. Night Shyamalan's first film in the trilogy, "Unbreakable" (2000). The technique of alliteration (the repetition of one or more consonants to give the text greater expressiveness) is constantly found in the names of characters in previous films (Peter Parker, Bruce Banner, etc.).
