Midnight Runners

Two police academy students with contrasting personalities form an unlikely friendship during their training. After witnessing a woman being kidnapped in public, they report the crime to the authorities, but the police fail to act quickly. Recalling their lessons on the critical time window for finding missing persons, the two recruits decide to conduct their own investigation to rescue the victim.

Directed and written by Jason Kim, this was the first of four films he directed, followed by The Divine Fury, My Heart Puppy, and Officer Black Belt. The movie stars Park Seo-jun and Kang Ha-neul as the lead students, with a supporting cast including Sung Dong-il, Park Ha-seon, Go Joon, and Lee Ho-jung.

The production had a budget of 6 million USD and earned 40 million USD at the worldwide box office. It has been received positively by viewers, with a rating of 7.3/10 on IMDb based on 12,000 votes and a 7.5/10 on TMDB from 259 votes.
