Accident Man
Short description
Mike Fallon works as a hitman in London who arranges his killings to look like accidents, a specialty that earns him the nickname Accident Man. His professional detachment ends when someone close to him dies, and he comes to believe the death was not what it appeared to be. That suspicion sets him against the people he once worked alongside, and he sets out to find those responsible and settle the score.
The film is directed by Jesse V. Johnson, the seventh of the nineteen features he has directed in chronological order, following Savage Dog and preceding The Debt Collector. Scott Adkins stars as Fallon and also wrote the screenplay with Stu Small and produced. The cast includes Ray Stevenson as Big Ray, Ashley Greene as Charlie Adams, Michael Jai White as Mick, Ray Park as Mac and Amy Johnston as Jane The Ripper. The production drew on 51 credited cast members and 68 credited crew.
Released in February 2018 and running 105 minutes, the British-American production mixes action, crime and comedy and took about 44 million dollars worldwide. Reception is moderate and consistent across sources: on IMDb it holds 6.2 out of 10 from roughly 15,000 votes, on TMDB 6.3 from 619, while a small critics' sample of seven reviews averages 5.3, slightly below the audience scores.
