Superlopez

Superlópez is a Spanish comedy based on the long-running comic character created by Jan, who shares a screenwriting credit here with Borja Cobeaga and Diego San José. The story follows Juan López, a mild-mannered office worker in Barcelona who was born on the planet Chitón, sent to Earth as a baby and raised by farmers near Lleida without knowing his origins. Under pressure from his boss and his domineering girlfriend Luisa Lanas, he slips out of his routine by acting as a superhero, hiding his powers from those around him. Meanwhile, the telepathic businesswoman Agatha is hunting him, and events push Juan toward his home planet and the love of his life.

Javier Ruiz Caldera directs; the film sits between Ghost Graduation and Valley of the Dead in a filmography of six features. Dani Rovira plays Juan López and Superlópez, with Alexandra Jiménez as Luisa, Maribel Verdú as Agatha and Julián López as Jaime among a credited cast of 22.
