Ferdinand the Bull

Ferdinand is a young bull in Spain who has no interest in fighting the way the other bulls do. He would rather sit beneath a cork tree and take in the scent of flowers. His mother accepts this, and the years pass quietly until Ferdinand has grown into a large adult bull. When men come looking for a strong animal to take to the bullring in Madrid, a bee sting makes Ferdinand react with such wild energy that they choose him for the corrida.

This eight-minute animated short was released by Walt Disney Productions in November 1938, directed by Dick Rickard and produced by Walt Disney himself.
