Short description
Sarah Francis is a teacher whose personal and professional life is in a state of chaos. Her situation becomes more stressful when she inherits a spoiled pug named Patrick from her late grandmother. The dog's lack of manners and demanding nature create further complications for Sarah, who must manage the animal while dealing with her own struggles. Over time, the relationship between Sarah and her new pet evolves, eventually leading to positive changes in her life.

What's left behind the scenes
- The vessel where Sarah and Patrick lived was found during location scouting while it was undergoing restoration. In April 2017, filmmakers restored the ship's interiors and stripped the paint from the exterior surfaces, giving it a dilapidated look as required by the script. After filming, the vessel was fully restored and repainted, even with paw prints of Patrick drawn on the deck.
