Escape Plan: The Extractors

Ray Breslin, a security specialist who makes his living breaking people out of prisons, is hired to find the kidnapped daughter of a Hong Kong technology executive. The case turns personal when his girlfriend is taken as well, and both women are held in a heavily fortified facility known as Devil's Station. Breslin and his team must work out how to get inside and bring the hostages out alive.

The film is directed by John Herzfeld, who wrote the screenplay with Miles Chapman. It is the sixth feature Herzfeld directed, following Reach Me (2014), and it continues the Escape Plan series that began in 2013. Sylvester Stallone returns as Breslin, joined by Dave Bautista as Trent DeRosa, 50 Cent as Hush, Zhang Jin as Shen, Harry Shum Jr. as Bao and Devon Sawa as Lester Clark Jr.

Made for a modest budget of about 4 million USD, the film earned roughly 2 million USD worldwide during its theatrical run, so it did not recoup its costs at the box office. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 10 from more than 16,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.4 out of 10 from under a thousand votes. Both figures point to a muted response from viewers.
