Several strangers enter the dilapidated Rialto theater, where they are greeted by a mysterious figure known as The Projectionist. The attendees are forced to watch films on the silver screen that manifest their own secrets and deepest fears. As the screenings unfold, the guests must confront these nightmares in a place where the Projectionist holds power over their fates.

This 2018 American horror film was produced by Cranked Up Films and Cinelou Films. It features Mickey Rourke as The Projectionist, alongside a cast including Sarah Elizabeth Withers, Elizabeth Reaser, Zarah Mahler, Faly Rakotohavana, and Maurice Benard. The movie was directed by Joe Dante, marking the 16th of 16 films he directed, following Burying the Ex. Other directors involved include David Slade, who directed this after Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and before Dark Harvest; Ryûhei Kitamura, whose work follows Downrange and precedes The Doorman; Mick Garris, who directed this after Desperation; and Alejandro Brugués, who directed this before Pooka Lives!. The screenplay was written by David Slade, Mick Garris, and Richard Christian Matheson.
