47 Meters Down: Uncaged

47 Meters Down: Uncaged follows a group of teenage girls who dive into a submerged Maya city and find that the ruins are also home to great white sharks. As their air runs low, they have to find a way through narrow caves and tunnels before the sharks or their dwindling oxygen supply catch up with them. The film is set off the coast of Brazil, where the friends are played by Sophie Nélisse, Corinne Foxx, Brianne Tju, Sistine Rose Stallone and Brec Bassinger, with John Corbett appearing as Grant.

The film is directed by Johannes Roberts, who wrote the screenplay with Ernest Riera. It followed 47 Meters Down, released two years earlier, in the director's filmography, and sits between The Strangers: Prey at Night and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. It was produced by Robert Jones, James Harris and Mark Lane through Lionsgate, The Fyzz and Entertainment Studios, with a production budget of 12 million US dollars. It earned around 48 million US dollars worldwide.
