Trial by Fire

Trial by Fire is a crime drama about the controversial case of Cameron Todd Willingham, who was convicted of killing his three children during a house fire in Texas. Despite his claims of innocence, he spent twelve years on death row before being executed. The story focuses on the relationship between Willingham and Elizabeth Gilbert, who discovers that the investigation relied on questionable methods. Gilbert works to bring to light suppressed scientific evidence and expert testimony that could have exonerated him.
