Parasite

In this science fiction horror film, Dr. Paul Dean creates a lethal parasite that ends up attaching itself to his own stomach. Together with Patricia Welles, he searches for a way to eliminate the creature. Their efforts are complicated by the pursuit of a government agent and a dangerous gang led by Ricus.

Directed and produced by Charles Band, this was the first of 19 films he directed, followed by Trancers in 1984. The movie features Robert Glaudini as the scientist, Demi Moore as Patricia Welles, Luca Bercovici as Ricus, and James Davidson as Wolf the Merchant.
