Blessed Madness

Guglielmo is a deeply religious man who owns a shop specializing in high-end ecclesiastical clothing. His stable life is disrupted when his wife of twenty-five years leaves him on their wedding anniversary. As he struggles to adjust to being single, he hires Luna, an outspoken and unskilled young woman from a working-class neighborhood. Luna begins to influence his traditional worldview, eventually introducing him to the modern world of online dating and blind dates.

This Italian family comedy was directed by Carlo Verdone, who also co-wrote the screenplay and starred as the lead character. In the chronological progression of his work, this production follows Honeymoon Trips and precedes Scuola di seduzione.
