Claudia is a young restorer who runs her own studio with help from two close friends. A large job for the heritage authority has gone unpaid for months, leaving her grandmother Birgit's pension as the only reliable income. When the old woman dies suddenly, Claudia and her friends conceal the death and keep collecting the pension until the money they are owed comes through. Into this situation walks Simone, a scrupulously honest officer of Italy's financial police, who is drawn to Claudia even as his instincts tell him something about her circumstances does not add up.
Giancarlo Fontana and Giuseppe G. Stasi direct this Italian comedy, their second feature collaboration, from a screenplay by Fabio Bonifacci. Fabio De Luigi plays Simone, Miriam Leone plays Claudia, and Barbara Bouchet appears as the grandmother. The supporting cast includes Lucia Ocone, Marina Rocco and Susy Laude.
Released in March 2018, the film runs 104 minutes. It took in around 4 million dollars worldwide, a modest return for a production backed by RAI Cinema and Indigo Film. On IMDb it holds 6.1 out of 10 from roughly 3,000 votes, and on TMDB it stands at 6.1 out of 10 from 724 votes, so viewers on both platforms have settled on a similar, mildly favourable verdict.
