Melinda is a lonely gas station employee who feels overshadowed by her more confident co-worker, Sheila. When a desperate man named Billy attempts to rob the station for quick cash, Melinda sees an opportunity to align herself with the criminal. This unexpected connection allows her to shift the power dynamics at her workplace and potentially escape her bleak life, though the situation quickly spirals out of control.
