Lev Yashin. The Dream Goalkeeper

This drama follows the life of Lev Yashin, a working-class boy who initially dreamed of playing as a striker. Despite his personal ambitions, he was consistently placed in goal throughout his time playing in his neighborhood, at a factory, and during his military service. The story tracks his journey in Soviet football as he overcomes family pressure to find stability as a factory worker and eventually joins the Dynamo team. It depicts his rise to become a world-renowned goalkeeper, known for his agility and distinctive black attire, and his path to becoming the only goalkeeper to receive the Ballon d'Or.

The film was directed by Vasily Chiginsky and was the second project in a series of four listed works, following Moscow, I Love You! and preceding Hero 115 and Romanovs: Loyalty and Betrayal. Produced by Kremlin Films, the movie features Alexander Fokin as the young Lev Yashin and Yuliya Khlynina as his young wife.
