Despicable Me 4

Gru, now working as an agent for the Anti-Villain League, has settled into family life with Lucy and the girls, Margo, Edith and Agnes, alongside the newest addition, baby Gru Jr., who seems determined to make his father's life difficult. Gru's work brings him into conflict with Maxime Le Mal, a new adversary aided by his partner Valentina, and the family is forced to relocate under a witness protection arrangement, with Gru taking on a new identity as a solar panel salesman. The arrival of the Minions, some of them transformed by a special serum, adds further disruption.

This is the fourth film in the Despicable Me series and the seventh feature directed by Chris Renaud, following two Secret Life of Pets films. Mike White and Ken Daurio wrote the screenplay, and Chris Meledandri and Brett Hoffman produced. Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig return as the voices of Gru and Lucy, joined by Will Ferrell as Maxime and Sofía Vergara as Valentina, with Miranda Cosgrove and Dana Gaier among the credited cast of 37.

Released in June 2024, the film had a budget of 100 million US dollars and grossed about 972 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.2 out of 10 from roughly 77,000 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 7 out of 10 from around 3,370 votes. The critics' rating of 5.6 out of 10 from 166 reviews places it below both audience scores.
