Set in the Andes Mountains, this animated adventure follows a young boy who hopes to one day become a shaman. When the protective totem of his remote village is taken by the Incas, he and a companion travel toward the royal capital of Cuzco. Their journey takes place during a time when the city is under siege by conquistadors.
The film was directed by Juan Antín, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Nathalie Hertzberg and Patricia Valeix. The voice cast features Andrea Santamaria as Tepulpai and India Coenen as Naïra, with additional performances by Saïd Amadis, Marie-Christine Darah, Alex Harrouch, and Vincent Ropion. A co-production between Canada, Luxembourg, and France, the movie was produced by companies including Folivari, Doghouse Films, O2B Films, and Kaïbou Production.
Released in 2018, the family fantasy has a runtime of 72 minutes. It has been received positively by viewers, earning a rating of 6.8/10 on IMDb from 1,100 votes and a slightly higher score of 7.2/10 on TMDB based on 83 votes.
