Hala follows a seventeen-year-old Pakistani American girl as she tries to reconcile her own personal desires with the religious, cultural, and familial expectations placed upon her. While navigating her identity as a teenager, she discovers a secret that puts the stability of her home life at risk.
The drama was written and directed by Minhal Baig, marking the first film in a chronological list of his directed works that also includes We Grown Now.
