Leo and Elvis work for a cleaning company that handles crime scenes and other places where bodily fluids and remains need to be removed. When Leo's usual assistant cannot come in, he asks his friend Elvis to help him. One assignment sends them to an isolated cabin in the woods, where they discover a hidden basement filled with strange drawings and tape recordings. In a bathtub they find a naked young woman with a tail, who seems unable to speak and behaves wildly. She is Thale, and she has apparently been kept hidden from the outside world for decades. As the two men try to work out what she is, the open cellar door draws unwelcome visitors to the cabin. The film draws on Norwegian folklore about the huldra, a forest creature that looks like a beautiful woman from the front but has an animal tail and a hollowed, tree-like back.
Aleksander Nordaas wrote and directed the film, his first feature; his second, The Dog, followed in 2016. Bendik Heggen Strønstad produced. The cast is led by Silje Reinamo as Thale, with Erlend Nervold as Elvis, Jon Sigve Skard as Leo, Sunniva Lien as the young Thale and Morten Andresen as a figure in white. The Norwegian production runs 76 minutes.
On TMDB the film holds a rating of 5.4 out of 10 from 170 votes, which places it in modest territory for a low-budget genre release.
