Wonder Woman: Bloodlines is an animated superhero film centred on Diana, princess of the Amazons, who chooses to rescue the crashed pilot Steve Trevor and leave her hidden island home of Themyscira. Her decision to return with him to the United States sets her on a path as a protector and ambassador, and she comes to be known by the name Wonder Woman. Her attention turns to a troubled young woman, Vanessa Kapatelis, who has fallen in with a criminal organisation called Villainy, Inc. Diana's efforts to reach her bring her into conflict with the group and its plans, which ultimately threaten Themyscira itself. Her sword, lasso and Amazon training are all brought to bear.
The film is directed by Sam Liu, with Justin Copeland sharing the directing credit, from a screenplay by Mairghread Scott. It sits in the middle of Liu's run of animated DC features, released the same year as Reign of the Supermen and Justice League vs. the Fatal Five. Rosario Dawson voices Diana, with Jeffrey Donovan as Steve Trevor, Marie Avgeropoulos as Vanessa, Kimberly Brooks as The Cheetah and Giganta, Michael Dorn as Ferdinand, and Ray Chase. It runs eighty-three minutes.
Audience response has been mixed: on IMDb the film holds 5.9 from roughly 9,400 votes, while on TMDB it has 6.9 from around 530 votes. The gap between the two points to a modest reception rather than a widely admired entry in the DC animated line.
