Our Departures

Following the sudden death of her husband, Akira travels to his hometown with her young stepson. There, she meets her eccentric father-in-law and decides to build a new life in the area. To honor her late husband's childhood ambition and follow in the footsteps of her father-in-law, she undergoes training to become a train driver for the local railway company.

This Japanese family drama was written and directed by Yasuhiro Yoshida.
