The Garden Left Behind

The Garden Left Behind is a drama centered on the bond between Tina, a young transgender woman from Mexico, and her grandmother, Eliana. Living in New York City, the two women face the challenges of Tina's gender transition while attempting to establish their lives as undocumented immigrants.

Directed by Flavio Alves, who also co-wrote the screenplay with John Rotondo, the film is a joint production between Brazil and the United States. The cast features Carlie Guevara in the lead role of Tina, alongside Michael Madsen, Ed Asner, Danny Flaherty, Anthony Abdo, and Alex Kruz. In total, 36 actors are credited in the production.
