Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative

Set in U.C. 0097, a year after the opening of Laplace's Box, Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative takes place in a world where the revelation of the Universal Century Charter, which recognizes the existence and rights of Newtypes, has done little to change the established order. The Laplace Incident is widely considered closed following the defeat of the Neo Zeon remnants known as the Sleeves, and the two psycho-frame mobile suits that displayed incomprehensible power in that conflict have been sealed away and deliberately forgotten. That calm is broken when the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03, missing for two years, reappears in the Earth Sphere as a golden phoenix known as Phenex, drawing those who once pursued it back into conflict.

The film is directed by Shunichi Yoshizawa and written by Harutoshi Fukui, with Naohiro Ogata producing for Sunrise. It runs 89 minutes and belongs to the action, animation and science fiction genres. The voice cast includes Junya Enoki as Jona Basta, Tomo Muranaka as Michele Luio, Ayu Matsuura as Rita Bernal, Ayumi Fujimura as Mineva Lao Zabi, Tomoko Shiota as Martha Vist Carbine and Yuuichirou Umehara as Zoltan Akkanen. On TMDB it holds a rating of 6.5 out of 10 from 25 votes, a modest figure reflecting a small sample of viewers.
