Butter

An obese and lonely high school student known as Butter decides to commit suicide by eating himself to death. He announces his plan via a live internet broadcast, inviting others to watch his progress. While he expects ridicule or indifference from his peers, he instead receives unexpected support and encouragement. As the deadline for his plan approaches, his sudden popularity creates a conflict between his desire for social acceptance and the lethal nature of his goal.

The drama was written and directed by Paul A. Kaufman, who also served as a producer alongside Christina Sibul and J. Todd Harris. The film stars Alex Kersting in the title role, supported by a cast that includes Mira Sorvino, Annabeth Gish, Mykelti Williamson, Brian Van Holt, and McKaley Miller.
