Jo Pil-ho: The Dawning Rage is a South Korean action thriller about a corrupt police officer who finds himself targeted by an internal affairs investigation. After a failed criminal venture involving a robbery of a police evidence warehouse, the protagonist must evade the authorities. To clear his name and expose a larger conspiracy, he forms an unlikely and reluctant partnership with a rebellious teenage girl.
The film was written and directed by Lee Jeong-beom, following his previous work on The Man from Nowhere in 2010 and No Tears for the Dead in 2014. The movie features a cast led by Lee Sun-kyun in the title role, alongside Jeon So-nee, Park Hae-jun, Lee You-young, Park Byung-eun, and Song Young-chang. Produced by Warner Bros. Korea, Dice Film, and Generation Blue Films, the story blends elements of crime and drama over a runtime of 127 minutes.
