A young woman named Valerie died two years ago after being burned in a tanning salon, and her twin sister Rhonda has since opened a gym. Soon members of the gym start turning up dead, and the killings draw the attention of Lieutenant Morgan as Rhonda tries to keep her business running.
The film is a 1987 American horror and thriller directed and written by David A. Prior and produced by Peter Yuval. It was released in April 1987, the same year as Prior's Deadly Prey, and followed his 1983 debut Sledgehammer. Marcia Karr plays Rhonda, with David James Campbell as Lieutenant Morgan, Fritz Matthews as Jimmy Hallik, Ted Prior as Chuck Dawson, Teresa Van der Woude as Jaimy and Richard Bravo as Tom. The production credits list 47 cast members and 52 crew members.
Audience response has been modest: on IMDb the film holds a rating of 4.6 from around 3,300 votes, and on TMDB a rating of 4.7 from about 91 votes. Both figures come from small voting pools and place the film among the lower-rated titles of its director's filmography, which continued with White Fury in 1990, Raw Justice in 1994 and Zombie Wars in 2007.
