Days of the Whale

Set in Medellín, this drama follows Cristina and Simon, two young graffiti artists who use their art to navigate the challenges of adolescence. When they paint a large whale over a threatening message left by a criminal gang, they find themselves in direct conflict with the group. The story explores their romantic relationship, their bonds with fellow artists at a refuge called La Selva, and various family tensions as they confront violence and fear.

The film was written and directed by Catalina Arroyave Restrepo. Produced by Madlove, RARA Colectivo Audiovisual, and Amplitud, the project was a Colombian production released in November 2019 with a runtime of 80 minutes. Jaime Guerrero Maudín, Natalia Agudelo Campillo, and Nicolás Herreño Leal served as producers.
