Black and Blue

Black and Blue follows Alicia West, a rookie police officer in New Orleans and an Army veteran, who inadvertently records a killing on her body camera. The footage captures corrupt officers murdering a young drug dealer, and once she realizes what she holds, both the criminals seeking revenge and the police trying to destroy the evidence turn on her. With little help from her superiors or her community, she joins forces with Milo "Mouse" Jackson, a local man willing to assist her, as she tries to expose what she has seen and stay alive.

The film was released in October 2019 and runs 109 minutes. Deon Taylor directed it from a screenplay by Peter A. Dowling, with Sean Sorensen producing; it is the seventh of the twelve features Taylor directed between 2007 and 2026, arriving between Traffik and The Intruder. Naomie Harris plays Alicia West, alongside Tyrese Gibson as Milo, Frank Grillo as Officer Terry Malone, Mike Colter as Darius, Reid Scott as Officer Kevin Jennings and Beau Knapp as Smitty. Fifty-six cast members and 154 crew are credited.
