Thomas returns to his childhood farm in rural France after twelve years away. His homecoming is marked by family instability and the tragedy of his brother's death. As he attempts to reconnect with his relatives and understand their dysfunction, he must navigate a strained relationship with his father and support his mother. He also encounters new additions to the family circle, including his young nephew, Alex, and the boy's mother, Mona.

The film was directed by Jessica Palud, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Philippe Lioret and Diastème. This drama served as the first of two films she directed, preceding Being Maria in 2024. The cast features Niels Schneider in the lead role of Thomas, alongside Adèle Exarchopoulos, Roman Coustère Hachez, Patrick d'Assumçao, Hélène Vincent, and Franck Falise.
