Between Two Ferns: The Movie

Zach Galifianakis plays a version of himself in this comedy, a man who longs to be a star but instead became an internet punchline. Will Ferrell uploaded Galifianakis's public access talk show Between Two Ferns to Funny or Die, turning him into a viral joke. To repair his image, Zach and his small crew set out on a road trip to record a run of interviews with major celebrities.

Scott Aukerman directed, and he wrote the screenplay with Galifianakis; the two also produced alongside Mike Farah. The cast includes Lauren Lapkus, Ryan Gaul and Jiavani as Zach's team, while Ferrell and Matthew McConaughey appear as themselves among the interviewees. The film runs 82 minutes and was released in September 2019.

On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.1 from roughly 36,000 votes, and on TMDB it sits at 5.9 from around 970 votes. A critics' rating of 6.5 from 63 reviews places it slightly above the audience scores.
