Slalom

Set in the French Alps, this drama follows Lyz, a fifteen-year-old high school student admitted into a prestigious ski club for future professionals. Despite her lack of experience, an ex-champion turned coach named Fred decides to focus his efforts on making her a star. As Lyz achieves success through intense training, she faces extreme physical and emotional pressure and finds herself under Fred's absolute control.

The film was directed by Charlène Favier, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Marie Talon. This was the first of two films directed by Favier, preceding the 2025 movie Oxana. The cast features Noée Abita as Lyz and Jérémie Renier as Fred, alongside Marie Denarnaud, Muriel Combeau, Maïra Schmitt, and Axel Auriant. Produced by several companies including La Compagnie Cinématographique and Panache Productions, the movie is a joint effort between France and Belgium.
