Baby Done

Zoe is a would-be adventurer who panics when she discovers she is pregnant by her long-term boyfriend, Tim. Tim takes the news in his stride and looks forward to becoming a father, but Zoe is not ready for motherhood and dreads losing the freedom she has built her life around. Rather than settle down, she sets out to tick off the experiences she has dreamed about before the baby arrives, a scramble that strains her and her relationship with Tim.

Baby Done is a New Zealand comedy directed by Curtis Vowell, the first of his three features to date, and written by Sophie Henderson. Rose Matafeo leads the cast as Zoe alongside Matthew Lewis as Tim, with Emily Barclay, Rachel House, Nic Sampson and Madeleine Sami in supporting roles. It was produced by Morgan Waru for Piki Films and runs 91 minutes.

The film was released in October 2020 and drew modest audiences. On IMDb it holds 6 out of 10 from around 2,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.3 from a much smaller pool of about 33 voters; a critics' rating of 6.8 from 42 reviews places it somewhat above those viewer scores.
