White Plastic Sky

Set in the year 2123, this story takes place in a world where environmental collapse has left the Earth barren. To ensure human survival, a strict law requires all citizens to be transformed into trees upon reaching age 50. The conflict begins when Nora decides to undergo this process prematurely. Her husband, Stefan, refuses to accept this decision and risks everything to rescue her from the facility where the transformation occurs.

This animated science fiction drama was directed by Tibor Bánóczki and Sarolta Szabó, who also wrote the screenplay. A joint production between Hungary and Slovakia, the film features the voices of Zsófia Szamosi as Nóra and Tamás Keresztes as Stefan, alongside Géza D. Hegedűs, Judit Schell, István Znamenák, and Zsolt Nagy. Produced by Paprika Films, SALTO, and Artichoke, the movie has a runtime of 112 minutes.
