Lucky Grandma

Lucky Grandma follows an elderly Chinese woman living in New York's Chinatown who, after a fortune teller predicts an exceptionally lucky day, takes her savings to a casino and bets everything. Her windfall draws the attention of criminals, and she ends up caught between rival gangs, hiring a bodyguard from one of them as the situation escalates.

The film is a comedy crime drama directed by Sasie Sealy, who wrote the screenplay with Banban Cheng. It stars Tsai Chin as Grandma, alongside Ha Hisao-yuan, Michael Tow, Emma Hong, Yan Xi and Lyman Chen. It runs 87 minutes and was released in October 2020.
