The Son

Lorenzo is a middle-aged painter attempting to rebuild his life after a difficult period. As he and his wife prepare for the arrival of their son, the relationship between the couple becomes strained due to her increasingly obsessive and hostile behavior. Following the birth of the child, the conflict escalates, and Lorenzo begins to fear that his wife is deliberately isolating him from their infant son.

This Argentine thriller was directed by Sebastián Schindel, marking the first in a sequence of films that includes The Wrath of God, A Silent Death, and Papi Ricky: La Película. The screenplay was written by Leonel D'Agostino. The film stars Joaquín Furriel as Lorenzo and Heidi Toini as Sigrid, with a credited cast of 22 people and a crew of 71.
