Chasing Happiness is a documentary about the Jonas Brothers, tracing how Nick, Joe and Kevin grew up as the sons of a pastor in New Jersey and rose to worldwide fame as a band. Their closeness as brothers and bandmates appeared unshakeable until a painful split sent the three of them down separate paths, leaving their future together in doubt.
John Lloyd Taylor directs the film, which draws on personal interviews, previously unseen footage and exclusive music to tell the group's story from the inside. Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas appear as themselves, alongside Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sophie Turner and Danielle Jonas. Amazon Studios produced the documentary with Federal Films and Philymack.
The film runs 96 minutes and was released in June 2019. On IMDb it holds a rating of 7.7 from around 2,400 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 8 out of 10 from roughly 150 votes. Both figures indicate a warmly received documentary, with the smaller TMDB sample skewing slightly higher than the broader IMDb response.
