Kidnapping Stella

Stella, the daughter of a wealthy industrialist, is grabbed off the street by two masked men and taken to a secluded flat, where she is tied up and held while her captors demand a ransom. Vic is the cold, methodical one; Tom is the younger accomplice. Their plan looks carefully worked out, but Stella is not the passive victim they expected, and she sets out to turn the situation against them, even as secrets each of the three carries make the standoff harder to control.

Kidnapping Stella is a German thriller directed by Thomas Sieben, who wrote the screenplay with J Blakeson. It was Sieben's first feature, followed by Prey in 2021 and Home Sweet Home - Where Evil Lives in 2024. Jella Haase plays Stella, with Clemens Schick as Vic and Max von der Groeben as Tom. The film runs 89 minutes and was produced by Henning Ferber. Its reception among viewers has been modest: it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 10 on IMDb from around 7,100 votes, and 5.3 out of 10 on TMDB from roughly 445 votes.
