  • The film is based on George Jonas's book "Vengeance: The True Story of an Israeli Counter-Terrorist Team." A television film, "Gideon's Sword," was also made based on this book in 1986.
  • Steven Spielberg's daughter, Sasha Spielberg, played the role of an Israeli girl watching television.
