First Act is a Brazilian drama that follows two theater students, André and Gabriel. The story focuses on their efforts to gather support for a movement resisting the removal of cultural policies in Brazil.
The short film was directed by Matheus Parizi, who previously directed The Tuner in 2012. The screenplay was written by Parizi and Juliana Lobo, and the production was handled by Paula Pripas under the company Filmes de Abril. The cast features Lui Seixas as André, Jorge Neto as Gabriel, and Alvise Camozzi as Fabrizio. Released on January 26, 2019, the film has a total runtime of 19 minutes.
