Tell Me Who I Am is a British documentary about identical twins Alex and Marcus Lewis. After Alex loses his memory, he relies on Marcus to fill in the story of their shared childhood and rebuild his sense of who he is. The account Marcus gives him is incomplete, though, and a family secret he keeps to himself shapes the film's central tension. Ed Perkins directs, with Simon Chinn producing. Alex and Marcus appear as themselves, while dramatised passages feature Andrew Caley, Kathleen Rainey, Thomas Mulhurn and Luke Mulhurn.
The film was released in October 2019 and runs 85 minutes. It blends documentary, drama and mystery, mixing testimony with re-enactments rather than relying on interviews alone. It is the first feature in the directing chronology listed for Perkins, made before The Princess, The Trouble with Mr Doodle and Clown Panic, and it shares producer Simon Chinn's association with Lightbox Entertainment.
Audience response has been consistently positive: it holds 7.6 out of 10 on IMDb from around 20,000 votes, and 7.4 out of 10 on TMDB from far fewer votes. The large gap in vote numbers between the two platforms suggests a wider mainstream audience on IMDb alongside a smaller, similarly favourable response on TMDB.
